Jed confirmed his and Ellen’s engagement on Instagram on Sunday, July 17. He revealed that he had popped the question on Friday, July 15 in Franklin, Tennessee, writing that “every second of struggle that led to this moment was worth it.”
The 28-year-old gushed that his fiancee is “the coolest, most fun, humorous, down to earth, hardest working, healthiest eating, routine doing, long walking, breath of fresh air I’ve ever met,” calling Ellen “the greatest delight of my life” and “the greatest joy of my life.
” Jed commended their bond, sharing, and cooperation “Our capacity to overcome challenging circumstances has been outstanding. We never abandon one another; instead, we tackle life head-on and work it out.” He continued, seemingly alluding to feedback from viewers of The Bachelorette:
“When somebody questioned us, we would laugh. We occasionally irritated each other, but we always came back to our senses. We have a love that is stronger than anything I could ever hope for.”
I am thrilled to get to spend this life with you…to love you, protect you, support you, and buy you limitless amounts of sprinkles, the podcaster wrote to his 26-year-old prospective wife. He ended by writing, “One of the finest moments of my life has been waking up the past few days next to that ring on your hand.
Ellen, you deserve everything.” In addition to the lengthy text, Jed, who moved in with Ellen in 2020, also released a carousel of images from the big day. Hannah Godwin, Garrett Powell, and Luke Stone—all former contestants on The Bachelor Nation—sent their congratulations to the delighted couple.
