They’ve been stuck in a parallel Tokyo where they have to play dangerous games to win numbered playing cards and stay alive.
People thought that if someone got all of the numbered cards, they would be able to go back to the real world. Well, Arisu and his friends got all of the numbered cards, but at the end of season 1, they were still stuck in parallel Tokyo.
In the exciting season 1 finale, it was revealed that the remaining characters would have to compete in more games. Getting all of the numbered cards was only the start. The next step is to fight for every face card. After playing the new games and getting all the face cards, could the players then leave the parallel world? I guess we’ll find out in the second season of Alice in Borderland.
