The Hallmark actress shocked her Instagram followers by posting a photo of a cute black and brown puppy. It turns out that Erin’s When Calls the Heart co-star Ben Rosenbaum (who is also reported to be her boyfriend) prompted her to make the announcement.
She introduced herself to Willoughby in a January 15 letter. We just adopted him last week, and now I can’t picture our family without him. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to @tobiessmalldogrescue for rescuing him and bringing him into our life. Alright, time for some cuddles.
It wasn’t just Erin who was giddy. Ben shared a selfie of himself with the dog on his lap on his own Instagram account just one day after she broke the news.
Willoughby’s gold mine? He thanked @tobiessmalldogrescue on January 16 for bringing his dream dog into the world, and Erin responded with a simple “.” Hallmark fans were quick to respond to Erin’s personal revelation, flooding her inbox with good wishes.
He’s the cutest thing ever omg!!! One commenter said, “I am so pleased for you. See his expression!! Someone else chimed in, “So cute!!.” “Awwww. That adorable face! Little Willoughby really is a lucky dog. He’s going to provide you both with a lot of happiness and adoration. congratulation!” chimed in a third admirer.
Erin’s new pet was announced just a few months after she got some fantastic work-related news. Hallmark gave the go-ahead for season 10 of When Calls the Heart in June 2022, and production just finished. When exactly fresh episodes will be available has yet to be decided. It seems, however, that Hope Valley has many surprises in store for our favored characters.
