I enjoy a nice cooking trick. Anything that can simplify my life would be greatly appreciated.
I’m going to share some of my tried-and-true cooking advice today. They are ones that I genuinely adore and utilize. I’ve been using some of them since I was a teenager.
Let’s move on to the hacks now.
1. Removing an Eggshell Fragment
This is one of those hacks that appeared too wonderful to be true, so I assumed it wouldn’t work. I was mistaken!
Simply scoop up those bothersome small shards with a larger piece of eggshell. It seems magical.
2 – Use a spoon to skin a kiwi
When your kiwi is ripe, this trick performs best (not rock hard).
Cut the ends of a kiwi first. Run a spoon around the kiwi by slipping it beneath the skin and keeping it as close to the skin as you can without piercing it.
The skin will just slip off of you!
Just slice and serve after that.
3. Hands-free pouring
I’ve been employing this culinary tip since I was a teenager.
A zipped plastic storage bag should be cuffed down around itself. As you fill the bag with food, this maintains it open and sturdy.
4. Neatly Line a Pan with Parchment Paper
It can be annoying to jam parchment paper into a pan. To avoid this, turn your pan upside down and cover the outside with parchment paper. Consider it as gift-wrapping. Ensure that all of the edges are properly creased.
The pan and parchment paper should now be turned over. The parchment paper will fit in perfectly with a little bit of adjusting and moving.
5 – Soften butter quickly
Don’t worry if you forget to remove the butter from the refrigerator to soften. By slicing it into tiny pieces, you can speed up the process of its softening. If you place it in your kitchen’s warm area, bonus points!

9 – Prevent Browned Potatoes
I picked up this trick from my mother. Simply place your potatoes in a bowl of cold water to stop them from browning if you wish to peel them ahead of time. If your potatoes are stored in the refrigerator overnight, they may hold onto a little extra water. However, you most likely won’t notice the difference if you use them to make mashed potatoes.
