YouTube TV and fuboTV provide similar services, however, they are priced and content-wise at opposite ends of the spectrum.
YouTube TV is a free platform with thousands of movies, snippets, and even a few full-length shows. FuboTV, on the other hand, offers a variety of subscription options as well as a comprehensive sports content lineup.
Both come with a free 7-day trial period and several live streams. You won’t have to worry about any contracts.
Subscriptions are month-to-month and can be canceled at any time. If you let your account lapse for six months or more without reactivating it, you’ll have to create a new one on YouTube TV.
With their upgraded subscriptions, both YouTube TV and fuboTV provide three simultaneous streams. Both providers provide DVR cloud storage as well.
Each service has over 70 channels to choose from, including news and sports.
Also offered are local news and sports. Neither service requires a contract and offers a seven-day free trial period before committing to a monthly membership.
On the fifth day, both services send you a notice that your trial is coming to a close.
There are some significant distinctions between YouTube TV and fuboTV. YouTube TV has around 70 channels, but you get a lot more with fuboTV’s bundles.
The base subscription on FuboTV starts at 107 channels and goes up to 177 in the advanced package. YouTube TV provides unlimited cloud storage for DVR recordings.
On the other hand, FuboTV provides 30 hours of space with their basic subscription and 500 hours of space with each of their other three tiers.
In addition, FuboTV’s two most expensive subscriptions include 37 “entertainment” channels as a bonus. The resolution, or visual quality, is one of the largest distinctions. With a 1080p resolution, YouTube TV is available in HD. Only 720p HD is available on FuboTV.
Monthly Fees and Costs

Family Deluxe, which costs $64.99 a month, is the third bundle. The Ultra plan is their priciest option. It costs $79.99 per month and includes 9 Showtime channels, On-Demand, and 24 sports channels.
At the moment, neither firm produces any original programming.
TV on demand
Live local network coverage is available on YouTube TV across the United States. They carry all of the major broadcast networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX), as well as a number of popular cable networks.
MSNBC, TNT, ESPN, CNN, AMC, the Food Network, and a slew of other networks fall into this category.
Local coverage is also available on FuboTV, as well as a wide range of channels. In some cases, twice as many as the competition. ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX are among the usual networks.
BTN, USA, AMC, Bravo, HGTV, History Channel, National Geographic, Hallmark, and Sundance TV are among the other channels available. They also have a large selection of sports channels.
YouTube TV vs. fuboTV, in a nutshell
YouTube is the less expensive of the two options, and it offers unlimited cloud DVR storage. If you need a free backup alternative, this is an excellent option.
Both the free and premium packages come with HD. Most individuals will find it to be the closest thing to cable.
In comparison to many other services, FuboTV provides numerous levels and twice the number of channels.
If you don’t mind the lesser picture quality and plan on streaming over a strong signal, it’s a terrific option. If you want more sports and news channels, this is also a fantastic option.
