How to set up the “Find My” app
Your AirPods should be listed under the Devices tab when you open Find My on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Select them to view their location on a map. Enable the Notify When Found toggle option (under Notifications) if your AirPods are missing from the map, and you’ll be notified when they reconnect. As long as you also have an iPhone with UWB, these devices contain an Ultra Wideband (UWB) chip, which allows for more precise position monitoring (so the iPhone 11 and later).
If your iPhone and AirPods are UWB-ready, the Find button in the Find My app will be enabled. It will locate your AirPods more precisely, similar to how you may try to locate an airbag. To find your misplaced gadgets, simply adhere to the directions displayed on the screen (if you need to, you can switch between the left and the right AirPod).

What if Your Lost Air Pods Aren’t Near Your Phone?
That works great if you lost your AirPods nearby, but what if they were farther away? Once more, Apple employs the same technique as with AirTags in this case: it uses every iPhone in the world to search for the signals that your AirPods are transmitting (anonymously and securely).

How to Never Lose Your Air Pods Again
