What is The Rising of the Shield Hero About?
Waves, the swarms of monsters that have plagued Melromarc for centuries, are the focus of the story, which is based on a light novel series.
Otaku Naofumi Iwatani is sent to Melromarc and given the title of “Shield Hero.” Due to his lack of popularity, he is not as well-known as the other three – the Sword, Spear, and Bow. Malty Melromarc deceives him, and he is banished as an outcast from the kingdom.
A slave named Raphtalia and an animal-like creature named Filo to come to his aid when he is at his lowest point and set out to right the wrongs that have been done to him.

The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Release Date
On April 17th, 2022, The Rising of the Shield Hero’s second season is expected to be released. It was originally planned for the second season to begin airing in October of 2021. However, it was postponed for reasons that are still unclear.
The first episode premiere date has not yet been set for April’s season opener. As soon as an official announcement is made, we will update this page with the date and time of the program’s airing on Japanese television.

Where to Watch The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2
For those who live outside of Asia, Crunchyroll will have Season 2 of The Rising of the Shield Hero available.
The Japanese broadcaster responsible for airing the episodes is still up in the air. AT-X aired the first season of the show.
No word yet on the number of episodes Season 2 will have. Even though it was announced at the same time, some have speculated that Shield Hero’s second season will only consist of 12-13 episodes rather than the two-part season it had in the first.

What Studio is Producing The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2?
Season 2 of The Rising of the Shield Hero will be produced by Kinema Citrus, just like Season 1.
Anime hits like Made in Abyss and Black Bullet are the work of Kinema Citrus, a well-known studio in the industry. DR Movie, a South Korean company that has worked on a variety of anime, will join them for the second season.
One key member of the cast has been replaced for the upcoming second season. The film will be directed by Masato Jinbo, who most recently directed Restaurant to Another World 2. That’s about all that’s different from season one’s cast of actors, composers, designers, and animators.
MadKID, who composed the opening music for season 1, will return for season two. Additionally, Chiai Fujikawa will return to compose the series’ epilogue music.
