Keke Palmer, an actor, singer, and comedian, presented last weekend’s broadcast of Saturday Night Live. It was her first time hosting the event, and she took full use of the chance.
Palmer made waves by announcing her pregnancy live on SNL, so disclosing that she was expecting her first child.
In her introductory address, she donned a trench coat and stated that she wished to “put the record straight” on certain “circulating stories.
“Let the check clear, and then we can have the freaking baby shower,” she laughed, after explaining that she had delayed making the announcement so as not to jeopardize a lucrative sponsorship contract with a liquor business.

Keke made the news that she was having her first child with Darius Daulton during her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live.
She said: “There are some stories going around, people have been in my comments saying, ‘Keke’s having a baby, Keke’s pregnant,’ and I want to set the record right โ I am!” when asked about her pregnancy on the program.
On the Studio 8H stage, Keke opened a long grey jacket to show off her expanding baby belly.
“I gotta tell, though, it is horrible when people propagate things about you guys online, but it’s even worse when they’re true,” she continued. I mean, like, I was trying so hard to keep everything under wraps because, you know, I’ve had a lot going on.
However, I must admit that I am overjoyed because this has been the largest blessing. I’m going to become a mother, guys.
I just want to say, hey, I’m 29, I’m an adult, I have sex, I own a home, and I stormed the Capitol on January 6, you know? Even though some people feel a little funny about me having a baby because I was a child actress. things are done by adults

Why is Keke Palmer So Famous?
Keke Palmer has demonstrated throughout her career that the sky is the limit, and she’s only getting started.
Born in Harvey, Illinois, Palmer began singing in the church choir at age 5. After relocating to Los Angeles with her family, the “Bossy” singer swiftly landed her first acting job in the 2004 film Barbershop 2: Back in Business.
After starring in her own Nickelodeon series, True Jackson, VP, from 2008 to 2011, she catapulted to prominence.
Three years after the Nickelodeon show ended, Palmer made history in multiple ways. She was the first Black actress to portray Cinderella on Broadway and received her own BET chat show.

“I waited my entire life for this moment,” she told Essence in 2016, referring to her role as Cinderella. “I hate to say that becoming the first African American to ever be a part of this musical was a major deal.
It’s amazing, but I also want people to find it bizarre since it shouldn’t always be like this. But I appreciated that my small brother and sister were able to watch this show and see a diverse world similar to their own.”
As Palmer’s career as an actor expanded to include appearances on Scream Queens, Star, and other shows, she decided to become her own boss and create her own record company. By her mid-20s, the performer had been signed to three labels, but with Big Boss Entertainment, she could make her own decisions.
The host of the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards told Billboard in February 2018: “It’s about empowering myself.” “I want to empower my peers so that they feel they are not a part of the old way of doing things and are instead among the major leaders.
Big Boss is about expanding and utilizing my knowledge. I won’t always be Keke Palmer, the entertainer, but I’m destined to step outside and advance to the forefront. This is what I am working toward.”
Palmer has several possibilities for her future step, including another tough job: comedy. “I hope to perform stand-up comedy one day,” Palmer told Us Weekly in February 2020. โYikes!โ
