After more than a decade of dishonest film adaptations, the Resident Evil video game franchise has been brought to life on the big screen in a much more faithful manner.
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, the next live-action feature, fans have received a film that is more faithful to the games than any before. Of course, there are also plenty of opportunities to adapt the franchise’s following games and therefore create an entire cinematic world.
In addition, as is typical for these types of franchises, there is a post-credits scene at the end of Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.

This post-credits scene will be easily understood by fans of both the video games and the original film franchise. Obviously, newbies may be considerably perplexed. Albert Wesker, who was presumed dead, awakens in a corpse bag at the beginning of the scene following the titles.
Those unfamiliar with his character are definitely taken aback by the news. Fans of the video games, however, can rest certain that this indicates Albert Wesker’s transformation into a real villain.
Ada Wong, another well-known character from video games, is also present in the scenario. She advises Wesker that bringing him back to life resulted in undesirable side effects.
Among these adverse effects is impaired vision. Fortunately, Ada Wong gives Wesker a pair of sunglasses, which have long been connected with his character. As he puts them on, he inquires of Wong their purpose.
She responds quietly, and the scene concludes. Ada Wong had been a spy-like character in video games, and it is revealed in this film that she was Wesker’s informant who provided him with information throughout the plot.
Given this, it seems evident that the post-credits scene is intended to set up another Resident Evil film in which Wesker and Ada Wong serve as antagonists.
given that these new Resident Evil films are designed to be much more identical to the video games, we may expect the next film to adapt Resident Evil: Code Veronica and Resident Evil 4 with high probability.
