What exactly is Peacock?
Peacock is a relatively new streaming service on the scene. It is owned by NBCUniversal and gets the majority of its material from its various properties. NBC, E!, USA, and other networks are examples.
Peacock will debut in July of 2020. There are three plans in total. All users can take use of the free plan. The free tier, however, does not include all of the content. On the free tier, around two-thirds of the Peacock library is available.
Peacock Premium and Peacock Premium Plus, the other two tiers, contain additional content and cost $4.99 and $9.99 per month, respectively. Ads are present in the Peacock Premium tier, but not in the Peacock Premium Plus tier.
When compared to Hulu and CBS All Access, which both charge $6 per month for ad-supported service, this is a bargain. Disney+ is also $7, but there are no advertisements.
How much does Peacock set you back?
Peacock is divided into three categories. There is a free tier to choose from. This was previously exclusively available to Xfinity members, but it is now open to anyone. Peacock Premium is available for free to Xfinity users.
It’s worth noting that at launch, you may get three months free if you sign up using an Android device, such as a smartphone, tablet, TV, or Chromecast.
Where can you find Peacock?
Peacock is now only accessible in the United States (American Samoa, Guam, Northern Marian Islands, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands). NBCUniversal has not yet revealed plans to expand it to other nations. However, this could change.
However, a Canadian broadcaster has licensed some original content.
