What exactly is Peacock?
Peacock is a relatively new streaming service on the scene. It is owned by NBCUniversal and gets the majority of its material from its various properties. NBC, E!, USA, and other networks are examples.
Peacock will debut in July of 2020. There are three plans in total. All users can take use of the free plan. The free tier, however, does not include all of the content. On the free tier, around two-thirds of the Peacock library is available.
Peacock Premium and Peacock Premium Plus, the other two tiers, contain additional content and cost $4.99 and $9.99 per month, respectively. Ads are present in the Peacock Premium tier, but not in the Peacock Premium Plus tier.
When compared to Hulu and CBS All Access, which both charge $6 per month for ad-supported service, this is a bargain. Disney+ is also $7, but there are no advertisements.
How much does Peacock set you back?
Peacock is divided into three categories. There is a free tier to choose from. This was previously exclusively available to Xfinity members, but it is now open to anyone. Peacock Premium is available for free to Xfinity users.
It’s worth noting that at launch, you may get three months free if you sign up using an Android device, such as a smartphone, tablet, TV, or Chromecast.
Where can you find Peacock?
Peacock is now only accessible in the United States (American Samoa, Guam, Northern Marian Islands, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands). NBCUniversal has not yet revealed plans to expand it to other nations. However, this could change.
However, a Canadian broadcaster has licensed some original content.
Peacock App Activation/Login on Xfinity Flex And Xfinity X1
Peacock TV is now available to everyone, regardless of whether they are a customer or not. If you have Xfinity Flex or Xfinity X1, however, you can simply log in using your email address. You’ll never be bored with Peacock because it includes over 15,000 hours of material, including movies, series, cartoons, and more. However, if you want to watch your content without any advertisements, you’ll need to upgrade your subscription to premium plus. Anyway, let’s go over the process for activating or logging into the Peacock app on Xfinity Flex and Xfinity X1.
Step 1: Download the App
You must have the appropriate application loaded on your Xfinity device before you can log in. To accomplish this, follow the steps outlined below:
To begin, push the Xfinity button on your Xfinity Voice Remote.
Then, using the right arrow, navigate to the Apps menu.
Then press the arrow buttons once more to summon Peacock.
Step 2: Make a Peacock Login.
You must now log in with your Peacock account once you have found the appropriate application to use. You must, however, establish an account if you do not already have one. Meanwhile, follow these steps to create a Peacock account:
To begin, you’ll need to enter your email address. As a result, you’ll need to provide your email address. You can also choose the option Activate on Your Phone if you like.
Then, on the X1 or Flex, press OK and begin typing your email address. After that, I’d come up with your Comcast email. To pick it, press the Ok button. You can also use the down arrow and select the Enter new email option to use a different email address.
Then, using your remote, press the arrow buttons on the keyboard that appears on the screen to input a new email address. Then press the OK button after using the arrow down button to continue.
That’s it. A confirmation popup will appear, stating that you have Peacock Premium access. It will then take you to the Peacock’s main screen. Additionally, it will display a window asking if you wish to share your Peacock watch history.
Select the Allow Peacock to Share option. This will make it easy for you to return to a movie you’ve previously watched. Not only that, but it will also recommend programmes to you depending on your preferences.
That’s it. If you don’t want to share your watch history for whatever reason, go to Settings. After that, go to the Privacy section and select the Don’t allow Peacock to share option under Third-party app watch history.
Peacock App Who’s Watching Screen (Step 3) (Profiles)
After you’ve logged into your Peacock account on your Xfinity Flex or X1, you’ll need to choose who’s watch screen, or profiles, you want to view. You can add your other family members here so they can view movies and TV without having to use your own account. Following are the actions to take:
The Who’s Watching screen will appear if the login is successful. To create a profile, you must first click New Profile.
Using the left-right arrow keys on your voice remote, choose your avatar.
It will now ask you a few questions; choose Yes, No, or Skip depending on your needs.
After that, give your profile a name and click Done.
Now, once more, It will be shown who is observing the screen. So, select your profile to continue watching your favorite TV shows, movies, and other media.
