In Black Clover, the Magic Knights who protect the Clover Kingdom are special people. They are split up into nine squads, each under the command of a very strong and gifted Magic Knight Squad Captain. These nine captains each have a unique set of magical battle techniques.
They are loved by everyone in the Clover kingdom, and their personality and sheer strength have won over a lot of admirers. This has led to debates (or brawls) over who among them is the strongest. We’ll be going to cover the strongest captain in black clover in this post, starting at the bottom. Let’s get started right away!
10. Kaiser Granvorka (Purple Orca)
Kaiser assumed command of the Purple Orca unit upon the revelation that Gueldre was a traitor. He employs Vortex Magic, which creates magical whirlwinds to help him disperse his opponent’s magic. He has excellent defensive magic.
9. Rill Boismortier (Azure Deer)
Rill, the youngest of the magic knights, was appointed captain of Azure Deer at the age of 19. He creates a palette and brush with Painting Magic, which enables him to bring his colors and pictures to life. He has complete control over the colors, which he can use to negate other magical abilities.
But creativity is highly influenced by the user’s mental state, which in turn influences the magic. Rill still has a long way to go before he can truly be powerful. One obstacle he needs to overcome is the fact that he cannot utilize his Painting Magic if he is restrained as soon as a conflict begins.
8. Jack the Ripper (Green Mantis)
Jack is a Slash Magic user who can forge razor mana blades on his forearms for use in close-quarters and long-range battles. He can cut through anything, including magic, thanks to the magic. Additionally, it adjusts to the magic used by his adversaries, becoming powerful enough to even defeat spatial magic. By applying Reinforcement Magic to his legs, he can further improve his powers.
7. Charlotte Roselei (Blue Rose)
Charlotte, the head of the squad that only permits female knights to serve under it, employs the adaptable Briar Magic on roses that were cursed to become blue from red. Her power with blue roses is not as potent as that with red roses, but it still lets her summon and control briars.
She may harm her opponents with the thorns and use them to confine them. Additionally, the smell that the roses release can confuse the opponents’ senses.

6. Dorothy Unsworth (Coral Peacock)
When Captain Dorothy does wake up, she is a very strong woman, having slept almost all of her life. With the exception of other people’s magic, she is able to freely alter the things in her Glamour World created by her using Dream Magic. The only way out of this Glamour World she can imprison someone in is to vanquish her.
But over time, this spell also makes the prisoners drowsy, and if they don’t wake up before the spell ends, they won’t be able to wake up again. Her spell and magic range are unknown, despite her amazing magical abilities.
For now, we can only rank Dorothy arbitrary because we essentially know very little about her abilities. After we do learn more, there’s a good chance she’ll move up the list!
5. Nozel Silva (Silver Eagle)
Nozel possesses a great deal of mana and magical power because he is the oldest son of House Silva, the royal family. He creates and manipulates mercury with the help of Mercury Magic. He has demonstrated on several times that he can use this skill for both offense and defense. In addition, he can create objects with it and utilize it for restraint.
He can cast powerful spells for extended periods of time thanks to his natural abundance of mana. Furthermore, Nozel uses his spells in a very inventive manner. Because of all of it, he deserves to be considered for the role of Wizard King.
4. Fuegoleon Vermillion (Crimson Lion)
Fuegoleon, a member of the House Vermillion royal line in the Clover Kingdom, is another person skilled with Fire Magic. He can create and control fire thanks to his magic. It can be shaped for reinforcement, restraint, and creation.
His most powerful ability is his newly discovered Spirit Magic, which summons Salamander, a mana beast. It uses fire magic, flying, and mana detection to help him in combat. Salamander and Fuegoleon are both extremely powerful magicians.
Even though the Salamander has increased his power, it’s safe to assume that he still lacks the might of his sister Mereoleona. Fuegoleon now ranks lower than her in this ranking of magic knight captains as a result. But since spirits only choose mages who possess strong and compatible magic, Fuegoleon has a lot of promise!
3. William Vangeance (Golden Dawn)
William Vangeance, the captain of the Clover Kingdom who enjoys great fame, is certainly deserving of it. He can produce and control enormous world trees the size of cities because to his enormous magic power, which he uses to cast World Tree Magic. William now ranks third among the strongest magic knight captains as a result of this.
World trees are a great tool for trapping opponents so they can’t attack in midair. 2. Mereleona Vermillion (Interim, Crimson Lion)
While Fuegoleon was incapacitated, Mereleona, the oldest of the three House Vermillion daughters, filled in as the commander of the Crimson Lion. She has developed great physical strength and hand-to-hand fighting skills as a result of her travels across the realm and her battles with untamed animals. She is an extremely strong opponent because to her mana zone ability, quick speed, and high mana. She is also witty and observant.
She is significantly more talented than Fuegoleon, even though her brother now has Salamander, the fire spirit. She can therefore be considered a potential leader of the magic knights after Julius and is ranked higher on the strongest magic knight captain list than our good ol’ Fueggy.
1. Yami Sukehiro (Black Bulls)
Go beyond your boundaries! Yes! Our favorite of all time, Yami, is at the top of the list! Yami manipulates darkness using Dark Magic, of course. He primarily makes use of this by directing his power toward his weapon. Because he uses ki, he is said to be an excellent swordsman with sharper reflexes.
Because of the versatility of his magic, he can attack, protect, reinforce, and restrain. His physical strength is exceptionally high, and this, along with his speed, gives him a great deal of devastating power.
He’s also becoming an expert in the mana zone, and his magical abilities are on par with those of Nozel and Fuegoleon, the royals. With the ability to manipulate the other world and cut through any magic, including Dorothy’s Glamour World, his most potent spell is the Dimension Slash – Equinox.
Along with being highly perceptive, he is an expert at training his squad members. Yami is the strongest Magic Knight Captain, to put it briefly.
