Josh Seiter discussed her experiences with hate after coming out as transgender.
Seiter, 37, stated in an interview with the Daily Mail on Monday, August 12, “I’ve had death threats, people telling me they’re going to hang me, they can’t wait to see me so they can kill me.” “My [direct message inbox] contains all of these messages.”
“People screaming at me on social media don’t give me life advise. I’ve just never lived my life that way,” she said to the publication. People used to make disparaging remarks about me while I worked as a male stripper. I received negative comments from people when I participated in OnlyFans.
Seiter claims she hasn’t received a warm welcome from the LGBTQIA+ community, which surprised her.
The far left and the LGBTQ community, she said, “have actually been some of the most vitriolic and mean towards me throughout all of this,” which is ironic. I haven’t experienced the acceptance, tolerance, and open arms that the left so loves to preach about, so it’s a really difficult subject for me.
In May, Seiter revealed her gender identity through an emotional Instagram post.
Since I can remember, I have battled with my gender identity and the guilt and shame that go along with it. Seiter said at the time in a statement, “I’ve taken tremendous care over the past thirty years to keep this side quiet. “
Given my upbringing in a conservative, deeply religious home, I felt like I had no choice. I’ve made every effort to present the stereotypical picture of a powerful, manly son and brother as I’ve gotten older.
In order to stop the “mental turmoil” she was experiencing, the former reality star clarified that she no longer wanted to “hide” her true personality. Seiter requested that her fans “accept” her as they did in the past, acknowledging that she was also going through a shift.
Seiter’s Instagram account was hacked in August 2023, and the account made up a death claim. A few days later, Seiter uploaded a video proving she was still alive and the post was removed.
“Hi there, as you can see, I’m still here and doing great. Throughout the past day, my account has been hacked. In a clip from August 2023 on Instagram, she said, “I had been trying desperately to get into it.” Someone was making fun of my mental condition, my battles with depression, and my attempts at suicide by pulling a terrible practical joke. I apologize for the suffering they brought about with that post.
Seiter booked herself into a mental health facility after the death hoax, claiming to have received abusive texts.
“I wish I were stronger, but I’ve reached my limit. I’m logging off social media for good and checking into a wellness facility to focus on my mental health,” she shared on Instagram in September 2023. “I’ll be losing my phone within the next hour. I love you all. To those sending me death threats, you win.”
