On Monday, July 29, Tom Selleck made a rare public appearance in Thousand Oaks, California, and was photographed walking while sporting what seemed to be scars from a knee operation, according to In Touch.
Tom, 79, has severe scarring on his knees and was leaving a gym on July 17. He was dressed in black T-shirt and black shorts. As the celebrity made his way to his car, the outing was also documented on camera. In the video, he then stopped at a fast-food restaurant to get a drink before leaving.
Tom just finished shooting season 14 of Blue Bloods, in which he played New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan. The Emmy winner expressed his desire for the police procedural series to continue in a very obvious manner.
I’m still hopeful that CBS will see their error. Before the show’s official cancellation in May, he told Town & Country, “What nobody’s talking about is how successful Blue Bloods is; it’s the number three highest rated scripted show in all of broadcast.”
“We’re doing great on Paramount Plus and winning Friday nights.” There is no deterioration in the show. Not to boast, but everyone who works on our program deserves to have a five-star legacy on their CV, including the writers and actors.
CBS is keeping its performance a secret. I do this because I believe that, should the show come to an end, everyone should be aware that, like Magnum, we will do so with great success.
The second half of Season 14 is scheduled to premiere in September, whereas the first half aired in February. Even though a significant chapter in Tom’s life is ending, sources informed Closer that the former Magnum, P.I. star isn’t quite ready to scale back on his hectic schedule.
An informant claimed on July 27 that rather than taking advantage of his time off, the man is exerting himself physically fixing the house, caring for the grounds, and placing himself in awkward positions.
“He ought to relax, but he refuses to do so. The source continued, “He’s lifting and climbing and doing most, if not all, of the fix-it projects himself.
At the moment, Tom and his wife Jillie Mack reside on a large 63-acre ranch in Ventura County, California. Tom expressed his hope to continue living on the ranch in the wake of Blue Bloods’ cancellation in a May CBS Mornings statement, stating, “You know, hopefully I keep working enough to hold onto the place.”
“Yeah, if I quit working. Do I have it made for life? Indeed, but perhaps not on a 63-acre ranch, he joked.
Closer was informed by an insider in the same month that Tom’s “paradise” is the avocado ranch. But the property is a “financial drain” and “takes a lot of upkeep.” The insider continued by saying that Tom was still hopeful that Blue Bloods would be saved at the moment by a group of supporters.
“Tom finds it incomprehensible that CBS canceled Blue Bloods,” the source stated. It seems a little early, and they still have a lot of storylines to explore. To let it go would be a shame.
