During his recent guest appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Michael Cera debuted a striking new style that caught people’s attention.
Michael spoke with Seth Meyers on Thursday about his most recent project, Sausage Party: Foodtopia, and his recent work in Germany.
Michael Described His Blonde Hair Bleach
Talk soon shifted to Cera’s recently bleached blond hair, which was unlike his typical look. Seth said that his producer told him about the hair change. Seth joked, “I’m glad he gave me a heads-up because I wasn’t sure what to expect.”
Cera responded by jokingly apologizing for his audacious hairstyle. “I should apologize to everyone,” he declared. “Right now, my hair is going through a weird stage. I have to decide whether to trim it, which might result in frosted tips, or dye it back, which also doesn’t feel right.
Michael went on to say that his new hairstyle was specific to his part in the Wes Anderson movie. “I didn’t just choose to lose control. I’m a working actor, after all,” he clarified, citing his devotion to his art as the rationale for his recent appearance.
How Michael’s Notoriety Has Changed Over Time?
In the middle of the 2000s, Cera’s career took off thanks to his breakout performance as George Michael Bluth in the highly regarded television series Arrested Development (2003–2019). His portrayal of the awkward yet endearing youngster solidified his spot in Hollywood and brought him global notoriety.
Reputation-building roles in Superbad (2007) and Juno (2007) further cemented his status. Michael has gained recognition for his unique style of portraying neurotic, frequently socially uncomfortable characters throughout his career. With roles in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010) and This Is The End (2013), he carried on building on his early triumphs.
In spite of these noteworthy accomplishments, he has had varying degrees of mainstream recognition recently, with his career centered more on independent cinema and theater than on high-profile blockbuster productions.
Michael is well-known for his personal predilection for seclusion. In a private ceremony, he wed actress Nadine, with whom he had been seeing since around 2018. With the arrival of their first kid in 2022, Cera’s life in the public eye began anew.
Cera has made fewer appearances in public, but his talents to television and movies are still highly valued. Despite his decision to keep a low profile and concentrate on more personal endeavors, he is still regarded in the industry and has moved away from the bright limelight of his early popularity.
His newly bleached blonde hair is a striking reminder of his continuous development both on and off screen as he moves through a more subdued period in both his personal and professional lives.
