Barry Weiss’ Departure From Storage Wars Was Surprising, but It Made Complete Sense

Barry Weiss and his motley crew of treasure seekers made their debut to viewers in 2010’s A&E series Storage Wars. They boldly bid on abandoned storage containers with the intention of turning a profit. The primary cast of the show, along with a few new faces, competed against one another over the years to see who could earn the most from the abandoned unit.

When the affluent Barry Weiss and the villainous Dave Hester left Storage Wars in season four, the dynamic was altered.

Barry established himself as one of the richest cast members over his five years on Storage Wars. He would arrive in an array of opulent vehicles and designer apparel, leaving a lasting impression.

Why, After Just Four Seasons, Barry Weiss Left Storage Wars?

In 2010, Barry Weiss made his Storage Wars debut. Barry earned the moniker “The Collector” on the well-liked reality show because of his enormous collection of priceless antiquities.

While there were rumors that Barry Weiss had gone away, the truth is that he departed Storage Wars to return to his previous role as “professional slacker.” He acknowledges that while the show was still popular, he wanted to quit.

The prosperous businessman also disclosed that his grown-up kids, Jack and Julie, “get a kick” out of his increased notoriety from participating on Storage Wars. “I performed in 104 shows. I had a great time,” he said.

“It was enjoyable, but I felt like I should have left while it was still in vogue. I’ve returned to my former self of elite laziness.”

Rumors surfaced in April 2019 following Barry’s hospitalization for a motorcycle accident, claiming his death. When the tragedy occurred, Barry was riding with his friend Jamie Robinson of MotoGeo.

A car reportedly drove out of a parking spot, striking Barry and his friend in the process, according to TMZ. Barry suffered multiple injuries, including internal injuries and shattered bones, to his legs and chest as a result of this occurrence. After the accident, the antique trader spent two months in the hospital, recovering slowly in the intensive care unit and needing numerous procedures.
