KTET 2024 Recruitment: Exam Date, Eligibility Criteria, Fee, Apply Online!

The Pareeksha Bhavan of the Keralan government officially releases the notification for K-TET in April 2024. Applying candidates for Category I, II, III, or I V who are qualified and interested may do so by going to the official website between April 17 and April 24, 2024.

KTET 2024 Notification 

Applying online for K-TET Category I, II, III, and IV for the April 2024 Session, candidates hoping to work as teachers at any government aided schools in Kerala can receive a credential from the exam. Every person should be aware that the application site is https://ktet.kerala.gov.in/.

It is highly advised of candidates who fulfill the specific requirements to take the K-TET April 2024 to apply early in order to avoid the last-minute rush. K-TET April 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Below is the age restriction and educational requirement for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test for the April 2024 Session.

  • Category I (Lower Primary):
    • Intermediate with 45% marks and 2-year Teacher Training Course (TTC) or equivalent.
    • Or Intermediate with 45% marks and a 2-year diploma in elementary education by NCTE.
    • Or Intermediate with 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
    • Or Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Category II (Upper Primary):
    • B.A/B.Sc/B.Com degree with 45% marks and 2-year diploma in Elementary Education/Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC).
    • Or B.A/B.Sc/B.Com degree with 45% marks and a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).
    • Or Intermediate with 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
    • Or Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Category III (High School):
    • B.A/B.Sc/B.Com degree with 45% marks and a B.Ed. Degree in the subject concerned.
    • Or MSc.Ed. in the subject concerned with 50% marks.
    • Or MSc.Ed. in Life Science with 50% marks for Botany and Zoology.
  • Category IV (Language Teacher):
    • Qualifications specified for Language Teachers, Specialist teachers & Physical Education teachers as per Kerala Education Act And Rules.
    • Or Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in teaching in any subject approved by relevant authorities.

Age Limit:

Applying applicants for Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) Category I, II, III, or IV have no upper or lower age restrictions.

K-TET 2024 Application Fee 

Applications for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test for the April 2024 Session cost ₹500 for general candidates and ₹250 for applicants who identify as physically handicapped, blind, Scheduled Caste (SC), or Scheduled Tribe (ST). The necessary sum must be paid; else, Pareeksha Bhavan will not accept the application form.

K-TET 2024 Exam Date 

On June 22 and 23, 2024, Pareeksha Bhavan will hold the offline K-TET for Categories 1, 2, 3 and 4 for a total of two hours and thirty minutes. The exam center must be visited by students who have applied to take the exam one hour before it begins, along with the necessary paperwork, which includes a hard copy of their admission card and a photo identity card.
