Englishman Patrick George Considine works as a screenwriter, director, and actor. He collaborates with director/filmmaker Shane Meadows frequently. In addition to the Silver Lion for Best Short Film at the 2007 Venice Film Festival, he has won two British Academy Film Awards, three Evening Standard British Film Awards, British Independent Film Awards, and other accolades.
His first project with Meadows, A Room for Romeo Brass (1999), saw him make his first significant on-screen appearance as the troubled small-town resident Morell. He won the Best Actor prize at the Thessaloniki Film Festival for his debut performance as the romantically troubled outsider Alfie in Pawel Pawlikowski’s Last Resort (2000).
