Fans love Trafalgar Law from One Piece, and the show has already revealed that he suffered a terrible end following his conflict with Blackbeard. Eiichiro Oda has revealed the destiny of the Heart Pirates and their Captain Law, who had been destroyed by the power of the Blackbeard Pirates, after keeping supporters waiting months.
Aokiji, the former Marine Admiral who is currently one of Blackbeard’s Ten Titanic Captains, was the main subject of Chapter #1081 of One Piece. But the chapter also made time to show viewers how the conflict between Blackbeard and the Law’s Heart Pirates, which started in chapter 1063, turned out.
Law’s Heart Pirates Destroyed by Blackbeard
The Heart Pirates did their hardest, but Blackbeard and his closest associates, Van Augur and Burgess, were too strong. But even in the absence of a full moon, Bepo the Mink may transform into his formidable Sulong form by using his trump card and ingesting a medication that Chopper gave him.
Because of this, Bepo is able to save Law and escape the battlefield, abandoning the other members of the group.
Fans were taken aback by the fight between Blackbeard’s team and the Heart Pirates since they had not anticipated such a significant event to occur immediately following the conclusion of the historic Wano Arc. Law was unlucky since Blackbeard was waiting to ambush any pirate crews that fled Wano.
Unfortunately, this was not the case. Some fans had hoped that Law could at least compete with Blackbeard, given his strength in Wano and the amazing potency of his awakened Devil Fruit. Now that he has the transcripts of two Road Poneglyphs, the formidable Yonko is one step closer than ever to discovering the One Piece and becoming the Pirate King.
Law is the second member of the Worst Generation to be removed from the board in a short period of time following Shanks’ ruthless victory over the Kid Pirates.
Both incidents were unexpected because it was simple to think of Law and Kid as being on par with Luffy, or at least very close, following their exploits in Wano. Rather, the harsh reality of the New World dashed the hopes of both young pirates.
But there is still hope in Law’s case. While Shanks’ devastating attack sank all the Kid Pirates, including their commander, to the bottom of the sea, Bepo saves Law, giving him a chance to continue playing a part in the future. Instead, the Heart Pirates have vanished, their submarine sunk, and the rest of the crew either slain or taken prisoner by Blackbeard.
Law’s Escape Indicates His Future Return
There are questions over Law’s survival because the character has not resurfaced even a year after his conflict with Blackbeard. But it’s hardly unexpected that Law wouldn’t receive much attention considering the other incredibly significant events taking on in the Egghead Island arc.
Given that Law plays a significant role in One Piece’s politics and has the ability to grant them immortality, it is probably inevitable that they will reappear in some capacity, perhaps joining forces with the Straw Hats to fight Blackbeard and exact revenge on his crew.
Law will therefore most likely make a reappearance in the narrative once One Piece deals with the fallout from the events on Egghead Island.
The fact that supporters never witnessed Law’s death makes his comeback appear even more plausible. In addition to being a cherished member of the series’ fan base, Law plays a crucial role in One Piece’s world and plot. It’s obvious that the tale is preparing for Law’s return given this and Oda’s tendency to think characters return at crucial points.
The Significance of Law’s Loss for One Piece
A much more existential threat to the Straw Hats’ mission is Blackbeard.
It could come as a surprise to see Law and his pirates so completely vanquished by Blackbeard, considering the unadulterated power of Devil Fruit and his role in the narrative. It’s possible that Law’s defeat is more about setting the stage for Blackbeard to become one of the Straw Hats’ last adversaries than it is about Law himself, even if this is undoubtedly a significant moment for him.
Blackbeard poses a significantly more existential threat to the Straw Hats’ purpose than Imu and the World Government, who now pose Luffy’s greatest challenge.
The Straw Hats can easily argue philosophically against the World Government since it is an oppressive symbol of oppression. On the other hand, Blackbeard shares Luffy’s pirate status. Blackbeard utilizes his independence and status as an outlaw for purely self-serving purposes, but Luffy uses his pirate identity to live a free life and aid the oppressed.
It only makes sense for Blackbeard to defeat Law and his Heart Pirates in light of this ideological conflict in order to substantiate why Blackbeard poses such a threat to Luffy’s ambition to become King of the Pirates.
