There are plenty of strong, powerful characters and spectacular battles in the anime One Piece. Given that and the current events in the anime series, we will concentrate on the recently concluded battle between the King of Kaidou’s crew and the Straw Hat Pirates crew member, Roronoa Zoro, who is one of the series’ best swordsmen.
This is because the two groups have already finished their epic battle in Wano Country, which was unquestionably one of the best fights in the arc. This article will explain how Zoro prevailed in the battle and whether or not he killed King.
Understanding that King’s strength was reliant on the intensity of his flames, Zoro waited for King to attack, making him vulnerable. Then he killed him with a strong three-bladed cut, sending him flying away from Onigashima.
King escaped the fall after being spotted flying off the floating island, but Marine Admiral Ryokugyū attacked and likely captured him a week later.
King and his destiny within the One Piece series will be the subject of the remainder of this essay. Since King fought an epic battle with Zoro and was one of the most intriguing antagonists in the entire series, it makes sense that fans would want to know what became of this brute, thus we wrote this article. Be cautious when reading this article because it contains One Piece manga spoilers.
Was King Able to Survive?
Before King and Queen could kill Marco, a resurrected Zoro and Sanji launched a barrage of attacks at them, with Zoro cutting King. King was pushed down by the onslaught, but he was unharmed and quickly got back up, much like Queen.
King took advantage of the opportunity to draw his sword and strike an unprotected Sanji, which Zoro was able to block.
When Queen stated that Sanji’s burning leg was an unreasonable talent for a normal human like him who wasn’t from the Lunarian tribe, King took the hint. After that, Zoro tried to attack the main act, but the latter used his notched blade to deflect his swords, threw them into the air, and struck Zoro hard enough to cause the sword to come away from his lips.
When Zoro asked King about his fighting method, he responded that it wasn’t necessary to follow traditional battle strategies. As the battle went on, King struck Zoro to halt the aerial combat.
Later, Zoro broke King’s mask in the upper left corner. Enraged by the damage to his mask, King began using his hybrid form to assault anyone in his immediate vicinity.
Using his Pteranodon wings as makeshift swords, he launched a flurry of airborne attacks that wounded both allies and foes. He struck Zoro with a strike so strong that he flew into the main corridor of the tower, where Franky was. King swooped toward him and swung a wing at the swordsman once again.
King outwitted Zoro and kicked him even harder, allowing him to pierce the outer walls of the Skull Dome. Zoro’s response further damaged his mask.
King intended to unleash a third hit to force Zoro to leave Onigashima, but Zoro may return to King’s location on the island’s edge. When Zoro said that King should at least make the final slash with a sword because any other weapon would be considered disrespectful to the opponent, King, whose mask was now partially broken, responded that he would condemn Zoro for the same.
At the same time, Enma began to forcefully drain his haki with Zoro’s sword. King took advantage of the opportunity to go up to Zoro but chose not to attack him. Before it exploded and created a massive explosion, King only saw the bewildered Zoro’s sword stab as a precise blow to the stomach.
Zoro just escaped the destruction by creating a protecting Haki, and upon clearing the haze, he saw that King had been spared by his own assault. Zoro wasted little time in attacking King directly with Shishi Sonson, but they were unable to do so. Then King began a second wave of his attack.
Because of Enma’s “rebelliousness,” King was able to blow apart the majority of the rocks that bordered Onigashima’s shoreline while still causing Zoro’s head to graze. As Zoro tried to control his falling blades, King kicked his opponent to the ground and applied pressure with his barizodon attack.
Then, flying straight at the swordsman, King used his wing to send Zoro into the lower floors of Kaidou’s castle.
Zoro rested on the ground for a moment, thinking about his past, and then used his Haki power to bring down the Beast Pirates who were watching. Then, confident that he could utilize it effectively, Zoro seized Enma.
Zoro’s next blow sliced King, causing his mask to come off. Zoro believed that although King’s speed had increased, his defense had become weaker because the fires on his back had been extinguished, leaving King exposed. This was his advantage.
Following that, King took off the rest of his mask and revealed his face to his local minions. They recognized him as a Lunarian right away. When Zoro attacked King with his Rengoku Oni Firi, he soon realized that the strike had failed because King’s fire had returned.
They clashed with his swords as Zoro ducked out of the fire dragon King’s sling. As before, King attempted to use his Swordbreaker to take Zoro’s swords away, but Zoro’s Haki launched King into the air.
Zoro then saw King accelerate up once more and used the Yakkodori technique to immediately cut through his now-vulnerable body as he kicked him in the face.
Zoro disputed King’s claim that no human could defeat a member of his kind and that he would just remember Zoro as a decent swordsman if anything. He brought up the fact that King had begun to deflect his blows and now appeared frail. Additionally, he stated that the King should live. He would first hand witness King’s remembrance.
King then approached Zoro while calling forth a huge fire dragon. Without hesitation, the latter jumped into the battle, slicing the dragon in two with his Santoryu as he swung a concentrated barrage of slashes at King, slamming his sword, taking away a piece of his right wing, and hitting him in the breast. The battle was now won by Zoro.
Zoro expelled King from Onigashima, and he fell to the ground someplace. However, as the manga later disclosed, he did survive. In the meantime, Kaido was also vanquished, and as of this writing, his fate was unknown. He was subsequently spotted in the former Prisoner Mine with Queen and many other members of Kaido’s crew.
When Marine Admiral Ryokugyū discovered them, he used his Devil Fruit power to impale Queen, which caused him to become dehydrated and significantly smaller, and then he kicked him viciously. Although King was not observed being assaulted, he is currently officially alive and is presumed to have been captured by the Marines.
