While in Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics, Lady Gaga seemed to confirm her engagement to boyfriend Michael Polansky.
In video posted to Instagram on Sunday, July 28, Gaga, 38, was seen introducing Polansky to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal. Gaga presented Polansky to the politician as “my fiancé, Michael,” and Attal shook his hand.
Although Polansky’s face is not visible in the video, Olympic Games images feature the businessman donning the identical black baseball cap with white text. Gaga had her platinum blonde hair put back into a low ponytail while sporting a black sunglasses set and a Team USA jacket.
A few days prior, on Friday, July 26, Gaga had performed at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony, when she sung the song “Mon Truc en Plume” beside the Seine in its entirety in French.
In April, Gaga’s appearance in West Hollywood with a massive diamond adorning her left ring finger aroused speculations of an impending engagement. She and Polansky were placed under quarantine together during the COVID-19 shutdown in 2020 after being first connected in December 2019.

The Hollywood Reporter interviewed Gaga in November 2021, and she restated her statement that “dogs and the man that I love are my whole life.” However, there were allegations circulating in early 2023 that the pair was having relationship issues.
The pair had overcome “some issues,” but an insider told Us at the time that they had emerged stronger. The insider claimed, “They feel comfortable socializing as a couple and are in a much better place now.”
Prior to that, Gaga was engaged to Christian Carino from 2017 to 2019 and Taylor Kinney from 2015 to 2016. Another insider claims that Gaga made the decision to “take it slow” with Polansky following the debacles of her two previous failed engagements.
In January 2021, the insider claimed of Polansky, “[He] brings real stability to her life,” adding that the two were “beyond smitten with each other” and that Polansky had no interest in Gaga’s “fame.” The source told Us, “When they’re together, they are always touching, giggling, and it’s obvious they really love each other.”
