Many moviegoers were impacted by The Parent Trap, including the lead actress.
On Tuesday, July 30, Lindsay Lohan celebrated the 26th anniversary of the legendary 1998 family comedy on social media by sharing her love for it.
The actress, 38-year-old Lohan, enthused about her experience on set in an Instagram post from the film’s director, Nancy Meyers, which honored the “best cast.”
“Thank you for this wonderful film, which has changed my life in the most amazing way! Nancy, I love you! The Mean Girls actress made a statement. “More than anything, I treasure our friendship”.
Meyers, 74, shared a vintage image of herself supervising an 11-year-old Lohan while she was on set. In the picture, Lohan, who played the roles of twin sisters Hallie “Hal” Parker and Annie “Ann” James in the movie, is dressed appropriately, sporting a stylish twin set and matching headpiece.
Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson also acted in the movie, which traced the twins’ journey after each of their original parents reared them separately. The sisters plan to get their parents back together after meeting for the first time at a summer camp.
Lohan made these endearing remarks while watching another classic movie from her childhood. Lohan and her spouse Bader Shammas have a one-year-old son named Luai.
Disney revealed on June 24 that work on a follow-up to 2003’s Freaky Friday has begun. A picture of Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, her first co-star, in front of their trailers on set was released by the studio.
Disney describes the new body-swap comedy as taking place “years after” the original one, in which Tess (played by Curtis, 65) and Anna (played by Lohan) went through a severe identity crisis. Anna now “has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter.”
“Tess and Anna learn that lightning might strike twice as they navigate the many obstacles that arise when two families combine.”
In an Instagram post on July 3, Lohan also recently shared her thankfulness for life in general and her 38th birthday.
“An additional orbit of the sun appreciative of each and every second, savoring each day and all that life has to give in its beauty. I consider myself fortunate. The actress wrote, “Thank you for all of the kind birthday wishes,” as the caption for a happy picture of herself.
In March, a source told Us that Lohan is eager to start thinking about having a second child—or possibly even more.
At the time, the source verified that Lindsay desired four children. The timing is all that matters because of how hard she is working. In the following year or two, they will have [another baby].
