Patrick played football, baseball, and basketball in high school, just like his dad did. Even though he was good at all three, Pat thought his baseball skills were the most promising.
Pat told the Los Angeles Times about his son, “He grew up in the clubhouse, was always around the game, and was always the best player on his baseball team.” “He was an amazing shortstop, always led his team in hitting, and threw 97 mph on the mound, so I always thought he would be a baseball player.”
