Wherever there are beaches on the East Coast, you can be sure that MTV film crews will be nearby to catch all the crazy things that happen when eight people live together and drink a lot of alcohol. In the 2000s, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi became a household name thanks to the show “Jersey Shore.”
Now, if you want to see people fight one minute and then become friends the next, you can watch “Floribama Shore.” Like its predecessor, it follows a group of friends as they spend the summer in the same house and party hard whenever the occasion arises.
The reality show has had four seasons, and the most recent one was the most chaotic in terms of how it was put together. One of the crew members got COVID-19 in the middle of filming Season 4, which forced the cast to move away from the panhandle and temporarily stop filming (via Deadline). MTV hasn’t said whether the show will continue or not, but if it does, here’s what we can expect from season 5 of “Floribama Shore.”
Floribama Shore Season 5: Release Date
The fourth season of “Floribama Shore” started filming in late 2020, and the episodes are set to air from February to May 2021. That means that the Floribama team’s most recent trip is still fresh in people’s minds, and it’s possible that MTV is still waiting to see if there’s interest in another trip before going on it.
Assuming the COVID-19 pandemic doesn’t cause any more delays, we expect filming for the fifth season to start this year, with new episodes coming out in early 2023.
Who Could Be on Season 5 of Floribama Shore?
The main cast of “Floribama Shore” stayed the same for the first three seasons. But when the fourth round came around, an important person dropped out. Kortni Gilson left the show in the middle of the season because she was having trouble with her mental health. In a later interview with Dr. Drew Pinsky, she said that she had been sexually assaulted in the past and wanted to leave the cameras for her own mental health.
She was replaced by Mattie Lynn Breaux, but she didn’t come back for Season 4. She got a lot of hate on social media for driving drunk in the past, and Reddit says she finally said on Instagram that she had to leave the show for her mental health.
If MTV moves forward with Season 5, there is a good chance that Nilsa Prowant won’t be back. She found out she was pregnant late in 2020, and that news had an effect on Season 4. It would be hard to party and be away from a new baby for a long time, so she might not come back.

There’s also a chance that MTV will bring in some new talent or put together a whole new group from scratch. At the moment, we just don’t have enough information to know who might go to the Florida Shore.
What is the Expected Plot of Floribama Shore Season 5?
Season 5 will start right where season 4 stopped. Nilsa Prowant is very pregnant and ready to give birth. The rest of the cast, including Jeremiah Buoni, Kirk Medas, Candace Rice, Aimee Hall, and Gus Smyrinos, returns for more heavy partying and drinking in the brand-new city of Athens, Georgia.
