One of the most anticipated movies of the year is Dune, a sci-fi epic based on a book that was said to be “unfilmable” and made by the same director who made Arrival and Blade Runner 2049.
It’s also only the first half of the book. The second half, which will be called Dune: Part Two, will be made separately. And that’s not even counting the sequels and prequels that are already written in case this is a hit.
With that in mind, it would be reasonable to wonder if Dune’s credits are used by director Denis Villeneuve to set up his second movie with a teaser for what’s to come in a few years.
Does Dune Have a Post-credits Scene?
No, the Dune movie coming out in 2021 won’t have a scene after the credits roll. This goes against what the Marvel Cinematic Universe started and what other franchises have followed.
In an interview with NME, director Denis Villeneuve said that even though Dune: Part Two is likely to happen if it does well at the box office, he didn’t want to hint at a sequel at the end of his movie.
“I don’t like scenes after the credits,” he said. “With the last frame of [Dune], I was going for a very specific feeling, and I don’t want to change that. So no, I don’t use scenes after the end credits. I have never done that, and I never would.”
This is not a surprising opinion for Villeneuve to have, since the director recently made some negative comments about Marvel Studios’ work, which are in the same vein as Martin Scorsese’s comments about arthouse films.
“Villeneuve told El Mundo that the problem might be that there are too many Marvel movies that are just copies of other films. “Perhaps these kinds of movies have made us a little bit like zombies.”

Why Doesn’t the Movie Dune Have a Scene After the Credits?
This one doesn’t have a long story behind it. Dune director Denis Villeneuve doesn’t like them. He said, “I don’t like scenes after the credits.
With the last frame of [Dune], I was going for a very specific feeling, and I don’t want to change that “in an interview with NME. “So no, I don’t use scenes after the credits. I have never done that and never would.”
Will There Be a Director’s Cut Version of Dune?
Jason Momoa, who played Paul Atreides in Dune, was the one who brought up the idea of a director’s cut.
That won’t happen either, unfortunately. Even those claims were shot down by the well-known director. “I love Jason, but there is no such thing! People are going to theatres to see The Director’s Cut right now “he said. “No other cut will be made.”
