The Average Gas Price in Los Angeles County Has Dropped to Its Lowest Level Since 20 September!

In Los Angeles County, the average price of a gallon of normal gasoline decreased nine-tenths of a penny on Sunday, to $5.512. This is the lowest price a gallon of regular gasoline has been since September 20.

Since reaching a record high of $6.494 on October 5, the average price has fallen 36 times in 39 days, decreasing 98.2 cents, including 0.7 cents on Saturday, according to data from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. As a whole, the price is currently 86 cents higher than it was a year ago, 85.5 cents lower than it was a month ago, and 1.6 cents lower than it was a week ago.

Average prices in Orange County fell to their lowest level since September 19th, falling 1.1 cents to $5.404. Since reaching an all-time high of $6.459 on October 5 and dropping $1.055 over the subsequent 39 days, including a 2.1 cent drop on Saturday.

The current average price in Orange County is 1.3 cents lower than it was a week ago, 74.1 cents lower than it was a month ago, and 77.7 cents higher than it was a year ago.
After a string of six days of increases totaling 4 cents, the national average price has fallen for four days in a row, falling seven-tenths of a cent to $3.776. It’s down 2.4 cents in the past week, down 13.7 cents in the past month, and up 36.2 cents from the previous year.
In comparison to the all-time high of $5.016, set on June 14th, the national average price has dropped by $1.24.
