The 23-year-old son of reality star NeNe Leakes, Brentt Leakes, is recovering after experiencing congestive heart failure and a stroke, according to a post made by his mother on Instagram on Monday.
After a TMZ report about the incident was released on Monday morning, NeNe Leakes addressed rumors about her son in a series of Instagram story videos.
In her video, Leakes stated, “This is not how I meant it to come out. “We wanted to be able to discuss it ourselves when Brentt was in a better place, but I’d rather the right thing be out there than something that isn’t right,” Brent said.
The ex-“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star remarked: “Brentt had congestive heart failure and a stroke two weeks ago today. He is too young—only 23—for something like that to occur to him. It was absolutely scary. I’m not even going to get into the specifics of what happened, how I learned about it, or how bad of a shape he was in.

Leakes claimed that when she FaceTimed her kid that morning, he was “in high spirits” but had “speech difficulties.”

Ne Ne Leakes Son
In 1999, NeNe Leakes and Gregg Leakes welcomed a son. He was given the name Brentt Leakes. Nene already had a son from a previous relationship. NeNe’s first child, Bryson Rashard Bryant, was born in 1989. Gregg also had three children from a previous marriage.

The next year, Gregg and NeNe got back together, and on January 1st of 2013, Leakes made another proposal. On June 22, 2013, the pair remarried in Atlanta’s InterContinental Buckhead Hotel. The wedding was captured for the seven-episode Bravo special “I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding,” which aired in September 2013.
