After a four-year wait, fans of the fantastic anime series Classroom of the Elite are pleased to discover that season 2 has been announced.
Long gaps between seasons of their favourite anime are common among anime fans, but there comes a time when excitement and anticipation give way to scepticism and anxiety.
Despite the fact that Classroom of the Elite was arguably one of the finest anime series of 2017, there has been no news of a sequel.

The official Japanese website for the Classroom of the Elite series stated today that a sequel adaptation is in the works after a four-year hiatus.
“The TV anime [first season] will be aired from July to September 2017, and the fans’ long-awaited sequel will finally be made!” according to the press announcement.
Along with the announcement came the release of a new character graphic picture, which can be seen below.
While Classroom of the Elite fans is overjoyed at the announcement of the renewal, many in the community are not surprised by the series’ eventual return.
Despite having been broadcast four years ago, the anime continues to get positive comments from users on various user-based feedback systems. This includes an IMDB rating of 7.6/10, a Crunchyroll rating of 4.6/5, and a MyAnimeList rating of 7.84/10 with over 515,000 reviews!

Then there’s the notion that the original light book series has enough source material to translate into another anime season. According to Anime Geek, episode 12 of the original series finished around Volume 3.
The good news is that Japan has issued 11 volumes of the light novel series, with five volumes of ‘Year 2‘ serialised from January 2020 to October 2021.
In Classroom of the Elite, who are the main characters?
Without a solid cast of characters, no anime is complete, and “Classroom of the Elite” is no exception. There are more supporting characters in “Classroom of the Elite” besides the protagonist, Kiyotaka Ayanokji, who is voiced by Shouya Chiba in Japanese and Justin Briner in English (via Myanimelist). Suzune Horikita (Akari Kitou/Felecia Angelle), a soft-spoken but clever student in the lowest levels of the institution, quickly befriends Kiyotaka. Kikyou Kushida (Yurika Kubo/Sarah Wiedenheft), a prominent Suzune and Kiyotaka student, joins them and tries to befriend all of Suzune’s academic pals, especially Suzune.
While many fans will be content to watch “Classroom of the Elite” in its original Japanese version, those who like dubs will be glad to find that the English dub has always been offered alongside the Japanese version. Fans may certainly expect this to continue if “Classroom of the Elite” Season 2 is ever published. Overall, reviewers praised the English dub for the first season, notably Justin Briner’s portrayal as Kiyotaka (via Anime News Network).

What is the storyline of Classroom of the Elite Season 2?
As the first season of “Classroom of the Elite” comes to a close, Kiyotaka secretly wins the school’s “Lord of the Flies-style” survival test by accurately anticipating the identities of each class’ leaders. However, after his triumph, he learns that his father has been working hard to get him dismissed from school. Of course, this is most likely connected to Kiyotaka’s underlying motivation for enrolling in the first place. Kiyotaka, on the other hand, decides to continue his studies there.
If the second season follows in the footsteps of the first, “Classroom of the Elite” Season 2 will most likely stick to its manga and light novel roots. The original material for the programme, like many previous anime adaptations, is light years ahead of the anime in terms of plot development, giving Lerche plenty of material to draw upon. Kiyotaka’s purpose for enrolling at this prestigious college remains a mystery to viewers. Furthermore, in terms of academic achievement, he has yet to really ascend to the top of his class, and it is uncertain how his father’s influence will affect this aspiration. Clearly, if “Classroom of the Elite” Season 2 is ever created, Lerche will have to continue all of these storylines.

How many Elite Classroom volumes are there?
The first year of the Classroom of The Elite light novel series has 11 volumes released in Japan as of February 2022, with the second year having six books published thus far.
Classroom of the Elite also has a manga adaptation. Volume 11, which covered the full first year, brought the manga to a close. A manga for the second year, which started in early 2022, is also available.
The classroom in season two of The Elite should have the same number of students as season one. Some fans of light novels were disappointed with the anime adaptation’s changes. So I’m curious whether episode 0 will be included to fix what the first season changed from the original material.

In Season 2, which volumes will be covered?
Season 2 of The Elite’s Classroom will begin with volume 4 of the light novel series and will most likely finish with volume 6 of the series. Volumes 1–3 were adapted for the anime Classroom of The Elite’s first season. I doubt the second season will be divided into two parts.
