The Ancient Magus Bride Plot

The Ancient Magus Bride Season 2

Chise Hatori, a young orphan who has been outcast by society, is the protagonist of the anime, which is set in a magical world. Chise is a little girl who has lost both of her parents and is stranded in the city with nowhere to go.

She decides to sell herself at an auction, fully knowing that she would be sold into slavery since she has little confidence in society and is depressed.

Chise takes the stage and begins to sell her freedom since this is her last option and the best chance of finding a home. The audience is eager to pay a premium to obtain her due to the rarity of auctions and her young. She seems to be afraid for her future, yet she accepts fate since she has no other option.

Elias arrives at this acceptable hour and, upon discovering her abilities, proceeds to buy her out for 5 million pounds.

Elias is a seven-foot-tall humanoid with more of a demon-like appearance than a human. He wears an animal skull on his head and speaks in a deep, calm tone that would make any seven-year-old tremble. Old Elias wins the auction and takes Chise home since his offer is the highest in the room.

To secure Chise’s recuperation, Elias starts caring for her, cleaning, and feeding her. He tells her that she is a sleigh buggy,’ a magician who can do magic by pulling energy from her surroundings and her own body when her strength recovers.

Sleigh magic, on the other hand, is very demanding on the body, draining its energy and weakening it. If someone does not use care when performing the art, they may experience fatigue, lethargy, and even death. It’s the sole reason for the sleigh Peggy’s rarity.

They are short-lived and often die of natural causes. Elias claims to have seen her potential right away and acquired her in order to provide her with the proper training. He also recognizes her immense talent and believes she has the ability to become one of the greatest wizards of all time if she can properly channel her powers.

Chise’s usual life expectancy is roughly three years, this time is not on their side. Her thin and feeble body can no longer resist the effects of magic, and she is slowly dying on the inside.

Elias offers to advise and coach her to the best of his ability, but she is ultimately accountable for her choices. He won’t be the one to force her to comply, so she’ll have to do it on her own.

After finding her position in the world, the Chinese feel comfortable for the first time in years. She may relax and go on a new life of training and exploration, with only fate choosing her final destination.

She is especially good at manipulating sleep patterns, but she can also execute a range of other spells, although at the cost of her energy.

Chise and Elias’ symbiotic friendship and experiences are then shown in the anime. From the first few episodes, it is evident that the two are totally incapable of coexisting.

Elias is a snobbish wizard who can be immature at times, therefore it’s entertaining to see Chise take the lead in these situations. Meanwhile, Chise is utterly dependent on Elias, whom she admires for saving her.

She always knows that without Elias, she would very probably be dead. They are the perfect example of two opposing souls coming together to form a single creature capable of destroying any foe in their path.
