 Prienai: LaMelo Ball’s professional basketball career began in Prienai. He joined the team on December 11, 2017. After signing a professional contract at the age of 15, it was reported that ball was the youngest American to ever do so.

He made his Prienai debut on January 13th, 2018 against Lietkabelis. During the season, he played in only one game as a starter for the team. That’s how much time and how much he averaged 6.5 points and 12.8 minutes per game this year.

Junior Basketball Association: Ball was a member of the Los Angeles Ballers in May of this year (JBA). A non-college basketball league was started by his father as an alternative.

While playing in the JBA regular season, Ball averaged 39.6 points per contest. Los Angeles Ballers, his JBA team, would win the 2018 season.

On December 23, 2020, Ball made his NBA debut in a 121–114 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on March 21, 2021, Ball fractured a bone in his right wrist and returned to play against the Detroit Pistons in May.

During the 2020–21 NBA season, LaMelo Ball was named NBA Rookie of the Year and a member of the NBA All-Rookie First Team.
