Death Note Season 2 Release Date: Renewal Status & Cancellation in 2022!

You come across a programme every now and then that is so amazing that you find yourself watching it over and over again. ‘Death Note’ is unquestionably one of them.

It all begins with a simple concept: a Shinigami notebook with the ability to murder people, yet the show’s very strong characters and gripping storey make every minute of viewing worthwhile.

Though the programme is well-made, some may argue that it has a few absurd moments, the most well-known of which is the over-dramatized “I’ll take a potato chip and eat it” scene, which has become a popular anime meme.

However, I believe that these sequences add to the overall quality of the programme since an anime would never be an anime without some exaggerated drama.

Death Note Season 2

When you return it, there’s undeniably something weird about it that makes you mistrust its well-thought-out tale.

An anime that swiftly exposes you to the unusual idea of a magical notebook falling from the sky, on the other hand, is not intended for critical watching. After you get beyond the fact that it is big and far from reality, you can realise what it actually means.

Death Note‘ seems to be a repetition of every “detective vs. criminal” scenario, although one with purposely cerebral elements. It is, however, mostly a voyage inside the brains of the film’s two protagonists, who have been lost on a road that only leads to a pyrrhic triumph.

Despite a few blatant plot problems, ‘Death Note’ is an absolute masterpiece that you should watch whether you’re an anime fan or not.

As series fans, many of us have pondered whether ‘Death Note’ will ever be revived, and if so, what the future sequel would be about. Continue reading to learn more about its potential reappearance.

Release Date for Death Note Season 2

Death Note Season 2

We’ve been waiting for the sequel to the first ‘Death Note’ anime for a long time. Several sources claim that a sequel to ‘Death Note’ is already in the works.

Unfortunately, no formal confirmation of a sequel to the original anime has been made.

Given the original’s enormous success, you may be wondering why Madhouse waited so long to produce a sequel. The lack of primary sources is one of the key causes behind this.

The film is based on a 108-chapter manga that was released in 12 separate volumes. The anime adaptation’s basic substance has been exhausted.

There is, however, fresh hope for fans! In February 2020, a solo ‘Death Note: Special One-Shot,’ written by Ohba and illustrated by Obata, was released.

Plot of Death Note Season 2

Death Note Season 2

Shinigamis, the Gods of Death, have the power to murder everyone in the human world just by writing their names in a death note notepad.

Shingamis’ surroundings, on the other hand, have been cast in a gloomy monotone. A bored Shinigami named Ryuk chooses to hurl his notepad into this planet’s human realm.

The protagonist, Light Yagami, explores a weird notebook that emerges out of nowhere. He arrives at the conclusion that everything is most likely a farce when he investigates Death Note’s regulations.
