State and municipal governments have stepped in to help cover the void by issuing stimulus payments to citizens. Residents in various states are receiving stimulus cheques, some of which are valued at up to $1,000.
California seems to be on the verge of restarting a program similar to last year’s Golden State Stimulus, which distributed hundreds of millions of dollars in stimulus cheques.
Stimulus Checks Will Be Given To Certain Residents
In 2021, low-income Californians received the majority of stimulus cheques. Later, the initiative was extended to cover those who earn less than $75,000 per year. Meanwhile, California Governor Gavin Newsom stated earlier this month that further stimulus funding is expected to be included in the state’s next annual budget plan.
In the meanwhile, similar occurrences are occurring all throughout the United States. Or is preparing to do so. In addition to California, here are some more examples:
A new incentive for teachers (who received $1,000 cheques as a thank-you for their efforts during the outbreak last year) is planned to be included in Florida’s budget for 2022.
Indiana households will get a $125 stimulus payment, but only after they submit their taxes in 2022.

If reserves, excluding education, comprise more than 12.5 percent of the general budget pot, state law forces authorities to provide taxpayers a return.
Employees in New York who lost their jobs as a result of the epidemic but were ineligible to obtain stimulus funds due to their immigration status may apply for the Excluded Workers Fund beginning in 2021.
Tennessee: Some government workers in Tennessee are receiving hazard pay. Full-time educators will get a $1,000 bonus. Part-time teachers will get $400. The quantities fluctuate depending on the district.
Some school districts in Texas are raising teacher compensation. Some have promised a $2,000 stimulus payment, while others have only pledged a $500 stimulus payment.
